Ok my wife and I are going to Florida to visit my family for a few days in Feb. Feb 18-22, to be exact. We live in St. Louis. Usually I can drive this in about 16 hrs.
However, I was told since I know my exact travel date, around Feb 17, go to Priceline and book St. Louis-Orlando, and do the “name my own price” at the last minute, and we may be able to book a flight as low as $120 grand total price for both roundtrip. As the airlines will release unsold seats to Priceline dirt cheap.
Is this true?

And what would be the best way to go about this?

Anyone have any expereince in a similar situation with Priceline?
