Plaid shirts are in, at least over here. One of those worn over jeans and stick a straw hat on and go as a “farm girl”?

u can be a hippie! wear flare pants, a tie dye or a peace blouse, a vest, ur hair out and a headband worn like the link below. bright nails and that should be good.

You can do jeans and sweatshirt with a hard hat (about $6 at lowes) and be a construction worker.
