what is the best way to get cheap airfare at the last minute?
Dave S asked:
I have to travel from seattle to st louis early next week. I am not used to air travel. Prices seem so much higher than if I could purchase a few weeks in advance. Is there a good way to find cheap tickets on such short notice? Thanks
Kilian

Try this website:
They have some of the lowest rates available and it’s very easy to use.
In fact, there are round-trip flights from Seattle to St. Louis this Monday for $355.
It’s not too late to book. Have a great trip!

Almost no airlines offer stand by tickets, please do not expect it at the airport - you’ll be very dissapointed. For the most part they reserve that as an employee perk these days.
One of the best days to book tickets is on Wednesday mornings (as early as Tues. Midnight), airlines typically post their sales then. As a force of habit, before booking tickets, I will check and compare that against expedia and orbitz. Once I’ve got the best fare in hand, I go to that airlines website and make the booking - typically the airlines gaurantee their rates, on their site, is the cheapest.
Good luck!

You can try, they are giving good prices for last minute deals. $339 + taxes for a roundtrip from Seattle to St. Louis.
Good Luck,
