What’s the best website for domestic airline tickets?
vlanderbab asked:
I’ve heard of Travelocity and Last Minute travel (which would not be appropriate as I would like to buy tickets later this week) when social security checks are posted. Tavel the first week of Sept from Hilo, Hawaii to Oakland or SF and return.

Expedia has great deals. Or buy direct from the airline you want to travel on.

I use
American Airlines.
I can play with the pricing and scheduling.
Also, which airports I have transfers and choose my seat.
My sister in law has used Travelocity and has had good success with it.
Still, I’d get the estimate on Am Airlines’ site, so you have a figure to work with on other sites. You have the time to look around.

The best thing to do is look at ALL your options. Look at actual airline websites, and compare the prices to orbitz.com, travelocity.com, expedia.com, kayak.com, etc etc.

will check all of the rest in 1 go — Orbitz, ATA, Aloha, Kayak, American, Cheaptickets, etc. etc. etc.

Try to stay away from sites like expedia or travelocity. They tend to charge booking fees, service fees, etc. and can add more than $100 to your fare.
I would recommend checking Southwest’s website since they have the lowest fares, are usually on time, and have codeshare from Oakland nonstop to Hilo.
Good Luck!
