I feel like I should have more options than just the last minute tab on the different travel websites (Expedia, Orbits, etc), since it doesn’t matter when or where. Any advice?

(i check the seating and business class is half empty while econ in completely PACKED)….so bottom line is do airline often broke the rules for their customer??? i’ve been ANA customer for 8 years now because of their quality of service…it’s really disappointing and unreasonable that they won’t let me change my reservation.

I am going to be traveling last minute on Wednesday with my 14 month old son, and I’m very stressed! What do I need to take with me on the plane to keep him entertained? Can I bring his stroller onto the plane or do I have to check it? Is it easier to check the car seat in, or should I bring it on the plane as well? We are traveling to UK in September, but don’t have passports yet. If I book airline now and have to change dates later, each airline I spoke to charges $200.00 per ticket fee. If I have to wait until last minute to book flight, then airline charges almost full fare price? Its a catch 22? Passport office said 10 weeks, then changed it to 12 weeks. I know of a friend in NY that has waited 3 months, and still no passport. You would think the airlines would take the passport issue into consideration when assessing these charges.
